Rules & Policies
Conditions of competition
Play is conducted under the Rules of Golf as governed by the USGA, together with the Local Rules and Conditions of Competition established by the Committee. The following summarizes the policies most relevant to competitors; the official hard card is issued with tournament materials.
Entries & Deadlines
- The entry deadline for the 2027 championship is February 16, 2027. No late entries will be accepted.
- A current AmateurGolf.com membership is required to enter and is verified during registration.
- Fields are filled in the order completed entries are received; divisions may close early when full.
Eligibility
- All competitors must be amateur golfers as defined by the USGA.
- Age- and index-restricted divisions (Senior, Super Senior, and the Championship Pre-Qualifier) are verified against GHIN at entry.
Format & Ties
- Each division uses stroke-play qualifying to seed a single-elimination match-play bracket.
- Ties for the final qualifying places in the Men’s Championship are decided by hole-by-hole sudden-death playoff.
- Ties affecting seeding are broken by USGA card matching.
- Halved matches are decided by sudden-death beginning at the first hole.
Pace, Carts & Conduct
- Rounds begin at 7:30 AM unless otherwise notified. Competitors should report 30 minutes before their time.
- Carts are prohibited for players and caddies in the Men’s Championship Flight.
- We play rain or shine; the Committee may suspend play for danger or course conditions.
Withdrawals & Refunds
- Withdrawals received before the entry deadline receive a full refund of the entry fee, less any processing fee.
- After the deadline, refunds are at the discretion of the Committee, as pairings and course arrangements are finalized.
